Peacock Beanie

Peacock Beanie is an elegant hat worked in the round from the bottom up in a beautiful charted peacock stitch pattern using 2 strands of either Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk held together throughout.

You start working a ribbed brim so that the hat will fit snuggly around the ears.  Afterwards, you work from charts and shape the crown with decreases.

Sizes: 1-2 (2-4, 4-6, 6-12) years // Adult to fit head circumference: approx. 45-48 (48-50, 50-52, 52-55) // 55-60 cm [17¾-19 (19-19¾, 19¾-20½, 20½-21¾) // 21¾-23½)]”
Yarn: 2 strands of Knitting for Olive Merino, Cotton Merino or Pure Silk (250 m [273 yd] / 50 g [1.8 oz]), fingering-weight yarn, 1 (1, 1, 1) // 1 ball.  Sample is in Merino in Rainy Day colorway
Needles: 4 mm / US6 circular and double-pointed needles, or in size to obtain gauge 
Gauge (after blocking): 29 sts and 31 rows = 10 cm [4”] in pattern (Chart A) with 4 mm / US6 needles.  
1 repeat of Chart A measures: Width (at the widest point): 4 cm [1½”]; Height: 5 cm [2”]
